Next Generation - Children

Nursery - Cornerstone Church provides a safe, healthy, and loving environment for preschoolers to meet their spiritual, physical, mental, emotional, and social needs.  Additionally, we seek to educate preschoolers through the teaching of Bible truths for Christ and the church.

3-5 year old - We would love to have your child(ren) join us as we explore the Bible each week.  During Sunday School, our children learn about various Bible stories such as Daniel in the Lion's Den.  We incorporate a Biblical reading, a song to go along with the lesson and a craft.

 1st-3rd Grade - 

All children first through third grade are welcome!  Each week in Sunday School we explore a lesson from the Bible and how it relates to our current life.  We also incorporate appropriate videos to go along with the lesson and a craft.  Come learn with us!

Starting August 18, 2024, we will be studying the Old Testament, via the Trackers of Faith Bible study.

Here’s a summary about the Bible study from Seedbed.com:

“Trackers is a program designed to develop the basics of Christianity in our children, instilling in them a knowledge of where truth is found, examples of Biblical “Trackers of Truth,” and a desire to seek truth for themselves.

Using a mixed agriculture and time-travel theme, the children will go through the Old Testament in chronological order, learning many highlights of the Old Testament stories. At the same time, they will learn of the many glimpses of the coming Savior, as revealed in the New Testament. They will soon understand that in the Old Testament, Jesus was present but concealed, whereas in the New Testament, Jesus was revealed. Each week, the children will also learn practical lessons of personal application to assist them in their own spiritual growth.”

Here's a glimpse for what parents and children can expect each Sunday:

Prayer : We say the names from prayer list in church bulletin. Also ask for other prayer requests from students.

Praise: A time for praising God through song.

Bible scripture, discussion, understanding the meaning of words in the scripture

How the scripture helps us develop a personal relationship with God the Father, Jesus the Son and the Holy Spirit.

Craft, Puzzles, Coloring Sheets and other Hands-on Activities

Snacks and Games

Dismissal to the sanctuary happens between 10:15 -10: 25 am or parents may pick up their children by stopping by the class. Just communicate with the teacher, what you prefer.

Throughout the year, we will learn the books of the Bible in order and practice looking up scripture by chapter and verse.

4th - 6th Grade - 

Come join us as we expand our knowledge of the Bible and how it applies to our lives.  We read weekly from our Bibles and share how we can apply the lessons to the world around us.
